I’ve been wanting to write some of my thoughts on all this political mess for sometime. I ran across this blog and could only read a couple of posts before my eyes were starting to stick the top of my head so I had to move on and hope the taste of the puke in my mouth could be combated with a fruit roll-up.
This election is so crappy I don’t even know where to begin. So instead of trying to monologue a bunch of bologna that isn’t going to change anybody’s mind, I’m just going to make a list of some of the thoughts i’ve had the past several weeks.
- McCain is a coward (UPDATE: not coward in the heroic soldier sense…only as a politician running for president)
- Obama is a puppet master (and probably a puppet himself)
- Sarah Palin was a brilliant choice for campaign salvation
- I don’t want a women president and i don’t care if that sounds chauvinistic
- I’d rather have a statesman than a politician to choose from this November…but i guess i’m not that blessed
- We’ve been weaning people off welfare for over a decade now down below 2,000,000 people. Whya re we wanting to jump-start it all over again by giving money to people who aren’t working to earn it?
- If the race was between the VP candidates, it would be much more interesting
- Joe Biden’s speech at his VP nomination was my favorite but I wonder how much of what he said they can/will actually do/be able to do
- Poor old Joe the Plumber. The guy might as well change the name of his business and his last name cause he’ll never be known as anything else.
- Wonder how Obama can be president but couldn’t be his own secret service agent because of his past associations
- What exactly is a maverick…yeah…not seeing the rebellion or independent thinking
- Will Biden continue to undercut his running mate with foot-in-the-mouth comments after the election…especially if they win?
- “Caribou Barbie” is one thing…”Sarah Palin is a c$^@” is probably over the line. Pretty sure anybody wearing a shirt at a protest rally that said “Obama is a n@%#$&” would probably be considered inappropriate.
- Anytime McCain says something intelligent, he looks like he is reading from notes he wrote listening to talk radio trying to get a good defensive strategy.
- Socialism? If the election goes the way the polls say it will, we can say hello to a fairness indoctrinated egalitarian society
- Presidential campaigns are good for SNL…it hasn’t been this good in a while
- Trying to come up with a list of good things the Bush admin has done right has helped me realize…that list is really short
- The Howard Stern “man on the street” interviews are very telling.
- How is it if McCain is so against earmarks he voted for a $700 billion bailout package that was full of them? And now that the bailout numbers are up to about $2 trillion, which candidate is going to stop the snowball?
- If Barack wins, he is either going to prove so many people wrong and do great things, or he is going to prove a whole lot of other people wrong and really mess up the America of our forfathers. Either way, 50% of this country is going to be happy…and that is the scariest part.
