I Cried Reading About Him Crying…

Posted by:

Somehow I connected to this guy’s struggle as I grieved in his words not knowing him from Adam or having anyway to relate to his story. The memory of venues, churches, and events where I have led worship and the emotion, the energy, the anointing, and most importantly the genuinely honest freedom that exemplifies Jesus’ direction to worship God “in spirit and in truth” came rushing forward. What about those environments made them so conducive for the Holy Spirit to work so powerfully and why can I not seem to duplicate it every time I lead? Well, the answer is obvious. I can’t do nor will I ever be able to. But I can do my part to stay fresh in His Word and armed to the teeth with spiritual preparation so in any given circumstance, I am ready to be moved. And if I can convince everyone else to do the same, we might be well on our way to having some real church up here in Cartersville.

UPDATE: I wrote this post about a month ago and have no idea why it never got posted. I guess better late than never.
