All the effort put into getting a little more organized for Sunday set-up and making sure the media desk never crashed again paid off. Even with loading a full-sized ski boat on stage and building a bunker for Michael’s illustrations, we were on schedule and ended up with plenty of time to spare. Here is the set list:

  • Let Them Know (Will Goodwin)
  • Burn For You (Steve Fee)
  • King (Tree 63)
  • From the Inside Out (Hillsongs United)
  • You Are ...

I Love Apple!

Posted by:

There are quite a few people who have much disdain for the bitten icon and its products, but I am not one of them. Forced into a Mac laptop while I worked at a school, I quickly became a convert and have since brought my entire family with me. Why do I love Apple so much? Because of scenarios like the one I dealt with today.

I had installed some software on my computer from Native Instruments ...

I’m a pretty big Lost fan and I can’t wait for it to come back on tonight – especially considering the lack of any quality TV on recently. Too bad I won’t be watching it ’til pretty late since I’ve got band practice and a couple videos to edit for Sunday. :(

Anyway, everyone who watches the show has a theory about what in the world is going on with the island’s natives and ...

For those of you keeping up, I got Rock Band for Christmas and can not get enough of it. My wife and I are in a band called The Cripplez and we just hired a couple roadies to help us play some bigger venues on our European tour. I’m having so much fun pretending to be the world’s next drumming legend that I want to share the fun with all those who help me so ...

But the convenience of not having to carry around heavy amps or mounds of guitar pedals and “mimic” just about any guitar sound you wanted outweighed the obvious sound disadvantages to the real thing.

Technology has come a long way since then and some pretty big software companies have made some pretty good software ...

OLC Sunday Report (1-27-08)

Posted by:

olc_leaf.gif

Today was full of tricks and very treats. Though only those behind the scenes may have noticed the dangerously high levels of stress, this was the first week serious technical difficulties made their way in obvious form to the main stage. If you are wondering why the screens were blank for much of the service, it is because, well, the devices that are used to put stuff on them were throwing temper tantrums. Large ...

Software Saturday: Mint

Okay, yes, technically this is not software, but it is worth mentioning nonetheless. If you have ever wondered where all your money goes and would like an easy method to tell you how messed up your budget is, go check out Mint. For those of you who use Quicken or some other type of financial software, you might not be as impressed as us old-fashioned check balancers. I’m personally not sure how ...

Hezekiah is my New Hero!

Posted by:

hezekiah.jpg

If you haven’t read the story of King Hezekiah, I encourage you to do it today. I’ve been caught up studying about this guy in the midst of my “worship” study and can’t get past all learning about this man’s efforts to restore the will and work of God among his people. Now I promised myself I would not write ridiculously long posts anymore (mainly because of my wife and READ MORE...
