Happy Valentine’s Day!

Posted by:

love.jpg

I’ve done the same thing for my wife every year for Valentine’s Day since the day she fell in love with me. I figured I might as well stick with what works, right? She’s blessed because she knows she’s got me wrapped around her finger and just has to breath to get me fall in love all over again. So what do I do? I give her a single rose and I write her ...

I Don’t Like Coffee And I Don’t Have An iPhone But…

Posted by:

starbucks_hearts_att.jpg

I do have AT&T broadband and this might just be reason enough not to switch to Comcast. For all the people in the world I meet with occasionally who do like coffee and choose Starbucks as their rendezvous of choice, this added little feature to my being a customer of AT&T is quite intriguing. In addition, there is another related story that suggests those with cellular service with AT&T (i.e. ...

Music Monday: Lee McDerment

Posted by:

picture-1.png

Lee is the main worship leader at New Spring Church in Anderson, SC (if you don’t keep up with New Spring, you probably should) I had the privilege to meet and chat a bit with Lee a while back and was excited to here they (as in Lee and some of their other worship leaders) were beginning to write original songs for their church (you can read some of my ...

OLC Sunday Report (2-10-08)

Posted by:

olc_leaf.gif

Today was a great day! Michael’s message on the importance of getting involved with the ministry and mission you believe in struck a nerve with quite a few as dozens of people met with key volunteer leaders after the service to sign-up to give the Leaf a little love. We had a smaller band than normal today but I think we sounded quite a bit tighter. I really liked how we carried the first song ...

Software Saturday: iWorship

Posted by:

iworship-header.jpg

UPDATE: So I can set the record straight, we use ProPresenter3 and a love it. We had some issues but RenewedVision was quick to help us out through their forums. I came across iWorship and thought I’d mention it as an option. I’m not suggesting one is better than the other. However, as I said before, we use PP3 and will not be switching anytime soon.

We’re running Propresenter and Provideoplayer ...

Fire and Ice in Boston

Posted by:

spt_logo_top.gif

Michael and I are in Boston, MA today taping a video for our Dominate series. While up here, we met some great guys from Fellowship Church who took us out to eat at one of the coolest restaurants I have ever been in. Apparently, up here, the type of buffet we are used to in the south is looked down upon so to get that great, all-you-can-eat buffet ...

Tech Tuesday: F-150 for Gadget Freaks and the American Work Force

Posted by:

ford-work.jpg

Putting all the controversy with Ford aside, this is one bad truck. This things got a computer built-in right in the dashboard with wireless keyboard, Bluetooth printer, 6.5-inch touch-screen, built-in Sprint Mobile Broadband, Garmin GPS, and RFID tagging capabilities so you can keep track of your tools (and maybe even people if it ever comes to that). All this available in the entire line of 2009 trucks. Click the ...

What is Up With the Web?

Posted by:

the_internet_is_broken.jpeg

There are some wired things happening at the Leaf office and at my house concerning the internet. Some of my posts aren’t posting, and some I’ve typed and saved for later have disappeared. Myspace and Facebook won’t load pictures and every once in a while the whole thing just stops working. Even the pictures on my site acts funny and will not load in the center. ARRRGGGHHH!!! Since we are both with the company formerly ...

Music Monday – Passion: God of This City

Posted by:

passion.jpg

New Passion album out today and I’m not sure I’m going to buy. I’m as much a fan of the music of Passion as the next guy, but I have to admit, I miss the good old days of CDs filled with songs you’d never heard before. Sure, that was back before Crowder, Tomlin, Hall, Redman, and the scattered one hit wonders had become staple names associated with modern worship. But it was ...
