Yes, the running gags ran way too much, but in the end, several lives were changed. I have to admit, I’m not sure I ever thought I’d be at a part of a church that participated in something called Porn Sunday. But I am thankful I am a part of a church that is willing to tackle issues for the sake of bringing people closer to God most other churches won’t touch with a 29.5 foot pole. I have to believe there were quite a few folks who knew what the message was going to be on this morning and ended up being “sick” or finding some kind of excuse not come to church. The saddest part about that truth is knowing all the people who chose not to come to Oak Leaf today for whatever reason, missed God show up and hammer on the hearts of so many. It was quite emotional and inspiring. How exactly does God speak through a canned video and re-translate the message so specifically to each individual heart? Regardless, it was beautiful to see those who came forward or sought counseling coming to grips with strongholds that are keeping them from being all God desires for them to be. It was a good day at Oak Leaf.
