Portable Coffee Bar

Posted by:

We love our teachers. We’re always looking for ways to bless them. There is always the typical load in of chick-fil-a biscuits. Of course, we’ve toted our party trailer and bounce house all over Cherokee county. We participate and serve at just about anything the PTAs have going on. But sometimes it’s not enough for us.  We want to serve as much as we can in the community so we try to come up with lots of fun new ways to show how much we appreciate our teachers. In October, we showed some love by setting up a chocolate fountain during the book fair at Canton Elementary School.

Today we hosted a gourmet portable coffee bar for the teachers for their work day before school begins tomorrow. This wasn’t just a coffee machine. This was a whip cream chocolate and caramel syrup cafe mocha cappuccino latte hot chocolate milk frothing 15 different brew choice extravaganza. The non-stop line of caffeine seeking educators began before the open announcement was finished over the pa system.

Adam and I had a blast serving the teachers but it was large in part to the ease of this particular coffee machine by Cuisinart. It allowed us to brew just about anything we wanted without having to make more than one cup at a time. The biggest issue was that we could only make one cup at a time. The simplicity of the setup and ease of operation and clean up made this portable coffee bar something we will be doing a lot more of. In fact, we loved it so much, it now has a home in our lobby as our “coffee bar” on Sunday mornings. And yes, it is a hit there as well.

Good for you Will! We teachers have been hit hard the last two+ years as the repercussions of budget cuts trickle down to us. It is very stressful adjusting to longer hours and larger classes often for less pay, and many don’t “make the cut.” I would consider a change of career myself, but feel that I am where God wants me for now, so I’m staying put. It warms my heart to know that you’re out there showing teachers the love energy they need to keep on keeping on. Thank you and bless you!
