Moving people from where they are to where God wants them to be should not be a complicated process. We share the Gospel to bring people to Christ to grow disciples who share the Gospel to bring people to Christ. Simplifying our activities and ministries allows us to concentrate on better ways to more effectively evangelize and develop disciples.
INSPIRE
There are a lot of great churches in Canton doing a lot of great things. We want to come alongside them and provide an additional catalyst that will further inspire spiritual growth and revival in our community. We will do this by:
- participating in city activities as volunteers, coaches, leaders, supporters, organizers, & sponsors.
- providing adult, kid, & student services that are Biblically sound, culturally relevant, worshipful, and cutting edge.
- promoting generosity, care, & justice through service projects & benevolence within our schools and community.
CONNECT
Relationships are one of our most valued commodities. We recognize the more we equip leaders, develop individual giftedness, and encourage others to invest in others, the better our foundation to grow as a family of faith. We do this by:
- Orientation – once a month we offer a catered lunch to cast vision & discuss next steps, serving, and generosity.
- Serving – spending time outside of the church helping others is one of the best ways to make new friends.
- Volunteering – there is always a place to develop gifts with Kids, Students, Production, or Guest Services.
MOVE
Once connected and serving with Oak Leaf Church Canton, the aim remains to help move people towards where God wants them to be. Though serving & volunteering can definitely contribute, we have three specific levels of discipleship:
- one2one – a personal “concierge” is assigned to every first time guest to assist, serve, & communicate info.
- Groups – 12 week in-home gatherings with discuss tied to weekly teaching & service projects once a month.
- Classes – 4-8 week summer only lecture style intensives covering marriage, finances, and spiritual formation.
LEAD
As individuals reveal their potential and giftedness, they are challenged to take the next step to become a leader. We have one program designed specifically for the training and development of future potential group leaders, coaches, teachers, staff, and church planters.
- Xcellerate – 12 month high expectation & accountability group centered around goals, readings, and spiritual conversations.
INSPIRE – personal conversations, outreach, kids & student programs, Sunday services, community events
CONNECT – orientation, serving projects, volunteering on Sunday or for events
MOVE -one2one connections, traditional groups, specialized classes,
LEAD – invitation only mentoring/training program to coach, teach, lead groups, join staff, plant churches
