It is the church I started. That’s right, I started a church…sort of. A fake church. Fake as in no building or staff or bi-laws or benevolence policy or anything typically associated with church. It is 24/7…as in my phone and the internet are always on. It is just me and my encouragement to the rest of the Twitter world through theological discussions, challenging requests to live out a life more like Christ’s, and whatever I can think of. 

The “church” has been in existence for two weeks now. We have almost 1000 attenders. Seriously. I don’t know where they came from. but they are there. some of them don’t even believe God is real. how do I know? They tell me daily. 

I started this thing almost as a joke and people started joining in. I might have to change the name eventually because now when I try to change the linked website from www.youversion.com (which I had nothing to do with but thought a great online bible would be a great link for an online church) it tells me I can’t have “twittr” in the name…though it let me when I started this whole thing. 

Don’t know what Twitter is? You should. it is micro-blogging letting the world know (or just those who follow you) what you are doing in 140 characters or less. that is the church’s mission is a global boundaryless – give life, give love, give light…in 140 characters.
