Just got back from an awesome week of camp in Ohio. We made some great new friends and had a blast spending time with students and dominating in volleyball (that’s right, I said it, and we plan on adding Basketball to the total next year). Smaller camps are so much more intimate and you end up feeling like you really got to know the campers and the leaders. So much in fact you start playing practical jokes. And several were played this week at camp. The most brilliant of them all, the climax and pinnacle to declare the victor if you will, went a little sour when the monsoon hit and the opposing side’s luggage was floating in a canoe in the middle of the lake. Luckily nothing was really damaged and we were able to pull it all out before the weight of the watered-down suitcases sank the boat. Lesson learned…always check the weather report.
